This church, while acknowledging the absolute supremacy and authority of the Word of God and thus the only infallible rule of both faith and practice, holds essentially and substantially to the Second London Baptist Confession of Faith as the historic expression of our faith. We believe this Confession to be an accurate and faithful expression of the system of doctrine taught in the Word of God and understood by the church throughout history. We do not hold this Confession to be above or equal to the Word of God; rather, we accept it as an assistance in controversy, a confirmation of faith, an instrument of edification and instruction, a basis for church unity, and an aid for formal association with other churches.
